Hostel is the best part of our growing up days. The bitter-sweet memories of those  gone days always bring a smile on our face.Hostel life is a great experience I think people should have. Some people who have not experienced this might think that hostel life is full of hardships. Though in initial days everyone feel homesick. But once days start passing  you will start enjoying this Hostel life. The same was the case with me, but after spending 5 years in hostel I can say that those were the golden days of my life.I learnt an important lesson from my hostel years that difficulties help us to know the outer world.Words are not enough to describe my five years of hostel life.

I made true friends for life and even made my own space in every one’s heart.I learnt a lot from hostel life i'll share some of them.

College Hostels, There is nothing else that will teach you to live a life more in a way of adjusting and doing our things independently.

Be Independent

After coming from hostel you don't comment to your mom like "Mirchi Kam hain..!!" infact even if it's less you will definitely give positive compliment.

Being in Hostel helps you to realise the true value of money.

Roommates plays a crucial role into your life.They can either make your life awesome or worst. Luckily, I was blessed with exceptionally good roomies throughout my stay in college .

How to adjust with the money you have.

How to sleep for the whole day by skipping food.

How to skip breakfast or adjust with a pack of biscuit.

If you want to go somewhere you can avoid to take auto instead of that you will prefer walking just to save some money.

Being in hostel you get the opportunities to meet different types of people,interact with them You come to know their lifestyles, their cultures and sharing views about your cultures and you will learn a lot from them.

How to eat a lunch or dinner with a pickle. “Mom what else you have for lunch.” mom: “ Adjust with pickle today”

You: Ahhhhwww… What is this mom. How can i eat with pickle.

But when you are at hostel you can understand the value of pickle.

No one can understand the value of 3 Am Maggi better than you.Sharing is Caring :P

How to share food that you brought from nearby shops or that your parents bring to you, whether it is less to be eaten by a single person. It doesn’t matter you will share and eat.

To discuss various issues whether it is about the country, world, college, boys etc.

You will learn to keep your room clean as it can’t stay more than 2 days.

Look at our room’s situations during exam

If you have  any doubts your neighbour will definitely help you out.

If your friend is crying you know how to make her smile. You share happiness and sorrow with your buddies.

You have to make your decision in many situations.It will improve your ability.

Being in hostel you don't have to prepare anything for guest.You are far from family issues.So you will concentrate better towards your dream.

Late night studies and hang out with your buddies

This is the best part of the hostel life. You can hang out with your friends till any time. There is no one to question you about this. It is said that nothing is boring if your best friends are with you.Fun comes automatically. Studies become way easier and fun at hostel and none of the hostlers would deny this fact. Late night studies is also a great fun. If you are having doubts in any topic, you can ask your friends and seek their help in no time. When you are studying late night with your friends, you will enjoy the company of others. Their nonsense actions, their repetitive words ‘ Yeh saali exams kyu aati hai ‘ , ‘ Agli baar se semester ki starting se hi padhna shuru kar dena hai’ , seeing one of your friends napping while having book in hand, taking their pics and blackmailing her are such examples that you will miss throughout your life.

A day Before Exam

If i talk about my life before hostel i used to hardly stay awake till 12 at night but in hostel? Actual fun used to start at 12 and used to go on till 3 at night.

In hostel , When all our neighbors were sleeping, we used to knock their door and run away.Calling your friends in midnight and annoying them in dubbing voice would be a great fun.

I personally feel that hostlers do not need a specific reason to celebrate. No matter if it is someone’s birthday or someone’s failure in a test, you would find every kind of celebration in hostel They just party and party hard.Birthday Celebrations are awesome ..You are attacked with not only cake but talcum powder , water , sauce comes free with them.

I still remember the late night studies before the examinations , mimicry of our faculties , teasing our friends , dance , drama , snacks , break ups, relationships, late night walk,unstoppable talks. I badly miss my buddies and the fun we had.
